In 2006, I founded The Springs Continental Schools in my hometown, Manjeri, Kerala- India, with a simple yet profound belief: the best way to bring about positive change in the world is to have better human beings. This conviction gave rise to our motto “Better People for a Better World” which remains the cornerstone of everything we do.
At a time when the world faces complex, interconnected challenges, from climate change to social inequity to racial discrimination, I realized that traditional education was not enough. We needed a new kind of learning that would empower young people not just to understand the world, but to heal and improve it.
Today, I am proud to say that The Springs Continental Schools is India’s First Solutionary School. We have embraced the Solutionary Framework developed by the Institute for Humane Education (IHE) as the philosophical and operational foundation of our curriculum and school culture.
A Solutionary is someone who identifies problems, investigates them thoroughly, innovates creative solutions, and implements actions that do the most good and the least harm for people, animals, and the environment. This is the kind of thinking and action we nurture in every child who walks through our gates.
